Description:
A rare 1956 all-silk bridal gown, beautifully restored for its next chapter.
Cut from luminous ivory/candlelight silk, this gown features a sculpted V neckline, long sleeves, a beautifully shaped bodice, and a dramatic full skirt with a drop-waist look, gathered lower tier and sweeping train. Delicate, new covered buttons trail down the back and along the sleeves, highlighting the incredible craftsmanship of the original design. Features bustle loops and buttons.
Included is a one-of-a-kind lace collar, custom created from lace original to the gown during its restoration—a special finishing piece that can be worn with or without the dress.
A truly exceptional piece of 1950s bridal history: romantic, timeless, and entirely one of a kind.
Note: Vintage items may have minor wear & signs of age. This gown is in excellent vintage condition, especially for its age, with minor silk wear and a few repairs consistent with age and wear. All buttons and loops have been professionally redone. Absolutely stunning, and has been hand-cleaned and steamed.
